Solstice Neck Rattles

Beautiful Solstice Neck Rattles birthed in ceremony at the Winter solstice and completed at Lunar Imbolc, with gratitude and prayers to the four legs, standing ones and stone people.

These unique neck rattles were designed and have been made by me for over 15 years. Amazingly powerful travelling Shamanic Tools, they are wearable as jewellery, and yet give you all the energy of a shamanic rattle in miniature.

Using offcuts from my hand made drums, I cut and hand stitch these small rattles using artificial sinew. They are then stuffed, shaped and dried; before being filled with different gemstone crystal chips. They are closed with either a hand polished wood, antler, or crystal stopper.

Finished with a hemp cord whipped binding they are strung on linen thread with sliding knots so you an adjust the length to suit, occasionally they will have other adornment or trim as they ask me for, during the creation process.

Made from assorted hides and with different finishes each one is a bespoke power packed rattle in miniature.

They make ideal travelling shamanic tools and can be worked with for protection, clearing, ritual and healing- and in any way you personally, would use a larger rattle.

As with all rattles care needs to be taken not to crush them (particularly those made from Reindeer hide which tend to be more fragile) and be aware that some left over grains of sand may fall from them when first used.
