Privacy Policy of Ros Simons

Ros Simons operates the website, which provides products, courses & workshops.

This page is used to inform website visitors regarding my policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use my Service, the website. I am committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of my website visitors and newsletter subscribers. In particular, I want you to know that I am not in the business of selling, renting or trading email lists with other companies and businesses for marketing purposes. I just don’t think that’s right. In this Privacy Policy, I set out how I treat data that I collect from website visitors, or when someone subscribes to my newsletter; how I use it, the limited conditions under which I may disclose it to others, and how I keep it secure.

Section 1 – Collection and use of personal information

 Personal information means any information that may be used to identify you, such as, your name, phone number, email address, or mailing address.

When you browse my site, I also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide me with information that helps me learn about your browser and operating system. When you choose to submit an enquiry form, I collect your personal information. I use that information to tell you about things you’ve registered an interest in and to contact you if I need you to provide additional information. Submitting a contact form does not opt you into my mailing list. When you subscribe to my mailing list, I will send you emails about my services, resources and other updates.

Section 2 – Consent

 When you provide me with personal information, I imply that you consent to my collecting it and using it for that specific reason only. If I ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, I will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.

If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for me to contact you at any time, by contacting me at or mailing me at: Ros Simons The Anchorage, Ardpatrick, Tarbert. Argyll & Bute PA29 6YA

Section 3 – Your rights

Under the Data Protection Act 1998 and GDPR you have the following rights:

  • to obtain access to, and copies of, the personal information that I hold about you;
  • to require that I cease processing your personal information if the processing is causing you damage or distress;
  • to ask me not to send you marketing communications.
  • to require me to erase your personal information;
  • to require me to restrict my data processing activities;
  • to receive from me the personal information I hold about you which you have provided to me, in a reasonable format specified by you, including for the purpose of you transmitting that personal information to another data controller; and
  • to require me to correct the personal information we hold about you if it is incorrect.

Please note that these rights may be limited by data protection legislation, and I may be entitled to refuse requests where exceptions apply. If you are not satisfied with how I are processing your personal information, you can make a complaint to the Information Commissioner. You can find out more about your rights under data protection legislation from the Information Commissioner’s Office website

Section 4 – Disclosure

I may disclose your personal information if I am required by law to do so, or if you violate my Terms of Business.

Section 5 – Third-Party Services

 In general, the third-party providers used by me will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to me.

However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information I am required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions. For these providers, I recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.

In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or me. So, if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.

As an example, if you are located in United Kingdom and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act. Once you leave my website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or my website’s Terms of Service.

When you click on links on my site, they may direct you away from my site. I cannot be responsible for the privacy practices of other sites, and the privacy of any information that you provide while visiting those sites. I encourage you to read their privacy statements.

Section 6 – Security

To protect your personal information, I take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed. If you provide me with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with an AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, I follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.
